As part of our long-standing collaboration with the City of Rotterdam, we were honored to recently livestream a hybrid event: the Rotterdam Leadership Workshop.
A groundbreaking hybrid event:
The Rotterdam Leadership Workshop took place at Het Timmerhuis, with a focus on ‘The power of a safe team’. This event, accessible to both in-person and online participants, underlined the importance of a safe working environment. The venue, Het Timmerhuis, reinforced the theme with its inspiring, community-focused atmosphere.
Using Invitado’s online event platform:
For this event, Transmisión Livestreams by Invitado was chosen, a platform known for its ease of use and versatility. The platform offered seamless integration of online participants, which was crucial given the hybrid nature of the event. Invitado’s platform allowed us to register online visitors, facilitate interactive sessions and maintain streamlined communication, both before and during the event.
A technically challenging production:
A smooth combination of technical and show elements was essential. The preparation, coordinated by Valo’s team, highlighted the importance of a detailed run sheet. Elements such as presentations, video roll-ins and live call-in moments were skillfully integrated.
The speakers and event managers stepped into a technically well-prepared environment. The afternoon program featured various speakers, interactive breakout sessions and a dynamic panel discussion, all facilitated by the Invitado event platform.
The hybrid setup created an inclusive experience. Participants at home could take an active part via the secure stream, with options to interact through chat and video connections.

After the event, all content was available as on-demand video, including subtitles. This ensured that the valuable insights and discussions remain accessible to a wider audience.
Livestreaming over the 4G network:
An additional technical challenge was the lack of a fixed internet connection. Valo guaranteed a flawless livestream by using the mobile 4G network.
