What is e-learning?

Video e-learning is an interactive form of education. The big advantage of e-learning is that participants can determine their own moment and pace of learning, from wherever suits them best at that time. At home, in the office, or during the kids’ swimming lesson! There are different forms of e-learning. For example, you can have trainees answer questions in between, or you can offer participants an online theory program as part of a practical training. E-learning is also a very suitable tool for answering frequently asked questions from customers in a simple and enjoyable way.

When you have an e-learning or online training made, you want to record the large amount of video material as efficiently as possible. That way, you can have a studio built or rented. Recording an online training in its entirety is the most effective way to do this. The goal of e-learning is to teach course material in an interactive way using interactive tools. It is a digital course that learners can follow in their own time, while still being able to ask questions through the platform and complete interim tests to track progress. If the e-learning also includes an online community, learners can learn faster by helping one another.
Offer your course in different chapters, with several subtopics in each chapter. Most online platforms let you group videos by chapter. Platforms where you can open your course to a large audience include Coursera, Skillshare, and Udemy. If you want to create a module on your own website, you can use WordPress with the LearnDash plugin. This lets you make the e-learning publicly available or place it behind a paywall.
Choose e-learning if you want to offer interim exams, issue a certificate after completion, or start a community. The advantage of e-learning with a community is that members can learn from one another and easily ask questions about the content. If your e-learning does not include certificates, exams, or a community, you do not need an e-learning platform and can simply use videos.
E-learning in its simplest form can be free, for example by recording videos with a smartphone and placing them on a free platform. Semi-professional or professional videos do involve costs. These include preparing the content, recording and editing videos or animations, and distributing them through an online e-learning platform. The cost depends on the number of videos, whether they can be recorded efficiently, and whether animations need to be designed.
