MT-Congres der Lage Landen
Video podcast recordings straight from the conference floor
During the MT-Congres der Lage Landen, Valo created a compact video-podcast setup on the conference floor. Several podcast items were recorded with fellow professionals and speakers, right in the middle of the event.
The conversations covered personal stories, professional motivation, SGOG and its flywheel effect, international collaboration between the Netherlands and Belgium, cross-border education and the latest scientific insights for daily practice.
What is a video podcast?
A podcast is traditionally an audio format. Listeners can follow a conversation while travelling, working or exercising. By adding cameras to the recording, you create a video podcast: the same in-depth conversation format, with an extra visual layer.
That visual layer makes the content richer. Many people like to watch as well as listen, because they can see facial expressions, interaction and the setting. It also makes it possible to show or demonstrate something on camera, such as a model, an exercise, a presentation or a practical example. The conversation becomes not only easy to hear, but also easier to watch, understand and share online.

Conference content translated into episodes
A conference brings a lot of valuable content together in one place. That is exactly why a video podcast on location is such a strong format: speakers, board members and fellow professionals are already present, the energy of the event is visible and valuable conversations can be captured immediately.
The challenge is in the execution. Guests need to be able to sit down quickly, the conversation needs to feel relaxed and both image and sound need to remain reliable in an environment with constant movement and background noise.

Our approach
Valo set up a clear table arrangement with professional microphones, headphones and video recording. The technical setup was designed so the host and guests could focus on the content of the conversation.
By keeping the setup compact, it remained suitable for the conference floor without compromising on production quality. The result was a series of conversations with a consistent visual style and clear audio.
