Providing the weekly Lotto draw
Chosen platform: live stream on Facebook
In close collaboration with DNL and media agency Yune, an online TV format is conceived and developed.
In a streamlined live-stream broadcast on Facebook, a professional presenter guides the weekly draw of the Lotto balls from a fixed studio setting.
The broadcasts are tightly directed and captured in razor-sharp image quality. The livestream runs without even a single hiccup, because transparency is of course a must for any game of chance!
For on-demand viewers, the draw result appears on YouTube and Instagram immediately after the live broadcast.
Through an online broadcast, De Nederlandse Loterij serves and reaches its core target group of active Lotto players very precisely. Much more precisely than with the old-fashioned Lotto balls draw on television.

At the old-fashioned Lotto balls draw on television, many accidental viewers were watching who did not even play Lotto. As is well known, many TV viewers also have their set on like wallpaper, without actively following what is actually on the screen.
Therefore the traditional TV ratings gave no clear picture at all of the effective reach of the Lotto draw on TV.
By contrast, with the online version you know for sure that every viewer consciously tuned in to the live draw. And so the Dutch Lottery gets a much sharper picture of its reach and target audience!
