With an online event, you can inform your target audience and build a connection with them. You have defined the content and arranged the livestream technology. Now it is time to focus on promotion.

  1. 01 Announce the event in good time

Ideally, announce the event at least one month in advance. You can do this in your newsletter and via social media. Most online event or webinar platforms also allow visitors to register in advance.

  2. 02 Make the programme public

Share the event agenda in advance. Mention the speakers and topics, and ask people to send in questions beforehand.

  3. 03 Send reminders

Send reminders for your event so your target audience does not forget the planned event! Use the 1111 method for sending reminders:

    • One month in advance.
    • One week in advance.
    • One day in advance.
    • One hour in advance.

  4. 04 Involve the viewer in the broadcast

Give viewers the opportunity to ask questions and discuss them live on air. Other forms of interaction are also interesting, such as poll questions and creating word clouds, to quickly gather information from the audience. This creates the most authentic form of interaction.

  5. 05 Think about a follow-up

You could announce the next online event, or invite the viewer to take a call to action such as: ‘subscribe to our newsletter’ or ‘like us on Facebook’.
